This project is a green energy project in Bangladesh featuring China's integrated investment, construction, and operation, and is an important project in China-Bangladesh energy cooperation.

The project was developed with investments from Wuling Power Corporation Ltd. (Wuling), a subsidiary of SPIC, and construction began in September 2021.

Upon connection to the grid, the project will generate over 145 million kWh of green power annually, reducing coal consumption by 44,600 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 109,200 tons. It will meet the electricity needs of 100,000 households.

"The commissioning of this project demonstrates the vast potential of China-Bangladesh energy cooperation," said a responsible person from Wuling. The company aims to leverage the growing new energy sector in Bangladesh and provide green energy solutions to contribute to the Bangladesh Vision 2041.
