Updated: November 03, 2023

The 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10, when companies from around the world will come to see China's expansion of opening up and share mutual benefit and win-win development opportunities in the new era.

China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Corp. Ltd. (CCEED), a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), has participated in providing services for the CIIE for five consecutive years. This year, the company's volunteer team will go all out to optimize their services to ensure high quality completion of various support tasks.

Performing urban volunteer services

Through careful preparations, CCEED has widely publicized this year’s CIIE among its various Shanghai-based units and recruited 454 volunteers to form seven urban volunteer service teams. In line with the actual situation of its projects, the company set up four volunteer service stations at transport stations and major commercial areas, equipped with 39 core volunteers, and three volunteer service posts on main roads and densely populated areas, assigning 14 shifts daily.

During the CIIE, service volunteers of CCEED will carry out voluntary service activities, as part of the efforts to showcase Shanghai's specific measures and results in connecting, serving, and supporting the event.

Upholding all-out service spirit

CCEED's Dongfu Company established a CIIE service support commando in collaboration with the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce's CIIE coordination office on Oct 13.

The service commando has established a guest reception group, a comprehensive information group, and a comprehensive support group. Team members meticulously study the site layout and route map, clarify the volunteer's designated areas and responsibilities, and discuss patrol routes. They organize data and ensure timely information sharing among groups. They also examine catering support inside and outside venues, and coordinate food inspection and catering box arrangements within the venues to meet daily logistical support requirements.
